MemberDash Payment Settings

MemberDash > Settings / Payment is where you can control both your Global Payment Settings (what appears on your invoices) and your individual Payment Gateways.

Global Payment Settings

Global Payment Settings control the Currency and what appears on each Invoice no matter what Membership your customers purchase. These fields will auto-save as you fill them out and move on to the next field.

Payment Gateways

MemberDash offers three different Payment Gateways

  • Manual Payment
  • PayPal Standard
  • Stripe

Manual Payment Gateway

The Manual Payment Gateway is provided for situations in which you may need to take payment in person via check or cash or other payment methods. Fill out the Payment Info field to instruct your users how to send payment.

PayPal Standard Payment Gateway

PayPal Standard is a gateway for everything except for permanent/one-time payment Memberships. This Gateway defaults to Test/Sandbox mode for testing prior to site launch – don’t forget to change to Live mode before you take your site live.

IPN instructions can be found here: PayPal IPN Documentation

Stripe Connect Gateway

The Stripe Connect Gateway will work for Recurring, Finite, One Time, and Date Range Memberships. The default selection is Sandbox Mode, for testing purposes. Once you have tested your payment gateway, remember to switch to Live Mode and to also connect the Webhook in Live Mode on Stripe.

The image above shows Stripe in Connected mode; when you first go to the Payment Settings, you’ll see a button to Click to Connect Stripe. Note the toggle – you can toggle each Payment Gateway on or off.

If you’d like to display a Vendor Logo, load it to WordPress Dashboard > Media and copy the image URL. Paste that URL into the Vendor Logo area.
