MemberDash Editing a Membership

Memberships can be edited by going to MemberDash > Memberships and hovering over the Membership you’d like to edit. If you want to go directly to Payment Options, click that – otherwise, click Edit.

Details

When you click Edit instead of Payment Options, you’ll be taken first to the Details screen of the Membership Editing options.

Here you can change the following:

  1. Membership Name (use with caution, as this can sometimes disrupt billing)
  2. Description (This appears on the Registration form if it is present in the Membership)
  3. Active State (Allows you to temporarily disable a Membership – invoices will not be collected if the Membership is inactive)
  4. Public State (Allows you to make a Membership private, and removes it from the Registration form)
  5. Payment Status (change from Paid to Free, or vice versa)
  6. Membership Order (The Registration form orders alphabetically, by default. This allows you to specify the order)

Membership Type

Editing your Membership Type allows you to select between Standard or Dripped content – and if you haven’t yet set them up, Guest or Default. Learn more about Membership Types here.

Note: This can change Protection Rules, so doublecheck those if you change the Membership Type!

Payment Options

The Payment Options section allows you to change the Membership Payment Type, Payment Amount, Payment Frequency, Total Payments, Trial Period, and Payment Gateway(s).

Note: If you already have existing subscribers to this Membership, their ongoing invoices will not be changed. Only new subscribers will have the changes reflected for the Membership.

Upgrade Paths

Upgrade Paths allow you to select who is eligible to purchase the Membership, from the general public to users with other subscriptions.

Note: If you have MemberDash > Add-ons / Multiple Memberships enabled, you will see additional options.

Protection Messages

This section allows you to override the global Protection Messages created in MemberDash > Settings, if you’d like to change the messaging on a per-Membership basis.

Toggle the switch to Define Custom Message for each or any of the three options, enter your selected message, and click Save.

Automated Email Responses

Here you can load any Automated Email Response template, and customize it on a per-Membership basis.

When you click to this screen, you will see a dropdown menu with all available templates.

To edit an Automated Email Response:

  1. Select the template you’d like to create or edit from the dropdown menu
  2. Toggle the button to Define Custom Template
  3. Make sure to Enable the Custom Template when you’re ready to use it
  4. If you don’t want to start from scratch, click Load Template to load the Default Template for easy editing

When your changes are all done, click Save Changes.
