LearnDash Achievements Now Includes Highly Requested Features!

Introducing new functionality for your achievements, the direct result of your feedback!
A few months ago, we rolled out the new LearnDash achievements functionality for your online courses.
All of you have provided us with fantastic feedback on new features and improvements you wanted to see, so today we’re pleased to announce an updated which introduces exciting new functionality to power up your LMS website!
Using Points to pay for Courses
One of the standout new features of the new update is the ability to allow users to use their points to purchase a course.

How does it work?
- Your students can use their accumulated points to purchase a course.
- You can set the number of points that a course costs.
- The points used are deducted from the student’s balance.
By utilizing points as a way to allow students to purchase courses it brings a real purpose for the student to want to collect points pushing them to achieve their learning goals to buy brand new courses at no cost to them apart from study time!
LearnDash Groups Integration
You asked and we listened. Now with the new LearnDash groups integration, group leaders can see achievements earned by their students, and you can also specify that an achievement belongs to a certain group.

What does this mean?
If you have a maths group, you might have specific achievements related to that group. With the new groups integration you can specify that a user has to be part of the maths group to be able to earn that specific achievement.
Other fun Stuff!
We didn’t just stop there though, other new features you can look forward to after installing Achievements 1.1 includes:
- A new trigger to award an achievement if a student scored above a set percentage in a quiz.
- Making the achievement image optional.
- Allowing the badge icons to be set to a larger size without needing CSS
Whilst you’ll be busy playing around with the great new features, we’re working away on Course Grid 2.0 and other exciting new features for LearnDash. See you soon! 🙂
Don't Miss Out!

LOVE THIS.
We have been using a Woo-commerce add-on to do the same thing but it was clunky to say the least.
I am excited to replace it out with this new feature for our clients.
Glad you like it, Melodie! 🙂
Congratulations Justin! Great plugin. I plan to migrate from gamipress to your achievement plugin but I need some buddypress/buddyboss triggers. Do you have in the script the inclusion of the trigger “Publish an activity post” and “Reply to an item in an activity post stream”?
Best regards!
Thanks, Marcelo! BuddyBoss is working on an integration natively, their team may be able to best answer your question.
This feature would 10x more powerful if we could define multiple point types.
Think XP vs Currency.
MyCRED and Gamipress do this well.
Great feature! If I can make a suggestion … I noticed the trigger for “User visits a post (WordPress)” is treating every single page that’s visited (including the dashboard) as a “post visit”, which is causing an excessive awarding. For example, even if the user access his account for whatever reason, is treating that as a post visit and awarding it for that. I suggest this to be corrected to award only if it’s indeed a visit on a blog post separated from all other visits. 🙂
Can you guys add the purchase through points also to groups (which I call Study Groups, or Studies)? That would be really great! 🙂
