Our restructured team is hard at work on a new roadmap that promises to elevate our learning management platform to galactic heights. Your feedback has also guided our path as we find our way forward with new customer experience initiatives. So, we invite you to join us as we reach new horizons with customer-centric product decisions, a new team structure, and a few exciting announcements.

Thank you to our entire community for your continued support and patience as we strive to create the best possible product and experience for you.

Changes That Span the Stellarverse

Over the past year, StellarWP has seen some broad changes that will benefit all the brands in the Stellarverse. However, change takes time, especially when you have as many wonderful people and brands as we do. Everyone has incredible ideas, opinions, and skills that deserve to be heard and valued. So, we didn’t exactly set off at light speed.

Now that we’re a few steps down the road, we are certain that taking the time to work together towards common and individual brand goals was worth the struggle.

But, before we dive into the humans that make LearnDash, we have an announcement for our customers from our StellarWP General Manager…

The Final Acquisition

With the acquisition of WisdmLabs add-ons for LearnDash, we’ve added the primary features that LearnDash customers expect from their WordPress LMS.

“StellarWP has added all the major LearnDash functionality we were interested in owning and are committed to continued support for the broader ecosystem developing niche solutions.”

—Zach Tirrell, General Manager of StellarWP

While we immediately began to support the WisdmLabs plugins, our team was also shifting behind the scenes. Let’s dive into some changes to our team that were happening simultaneously.

StellarWP Created a New Leadership Structure

The first stars of the Stellarverse aligned at the top. In Q1 of 2024, we restructured our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and introduced an Extended Leadership Team (XLT). During this time, our fearless LearnDash leader, Jack Kitterhing, was elevated to Director of Product for several of our StellarWP brands, including LearnDash.

Jack first joined LearnDash in 2020 and has since helped it to expand its feature set immensely. For a while, Jack was the center of product, strategizing all four elements: product direction, engineering implementation strategy, design, QA. His combination of skills elevated him to the XLT level, where he now oversees The Events Calendar, LearnDash, and IconicWP products.

Engineering, design, and strategy are all connected within LearnDash to create a cohesive team and development process.

But that doesn’t mean Jack won’t be around. He’s still keeping an eye on us from his new place in our Stellarverse.

A Shiny New Department Focused on Customers

As part of our recent leadership restructuring, we also formed the Customer Experience (CX) Department at StellarWP, headed by Senior Director Matt Cromwell. Known for his stellar work at GiveWP, Matt is enhancing technical support, customer success, and processes across all our brands.

Meet the StellarWP Directors in charge of LearnDash Customer Experience:

Molly Jaeger

Director of Customer Support

Molly combines strategic leadership with hands-on management to ensure exceptional service and efficient operations, drawing on her background in the entertainment industry. She leads the customer support and service team in delivering expert assistance for technical support issues.

Amanda Gorman

Director of Customer Success

Like Matt, Amanda brings her experience from GiveWP, where she implemented customer feedback loops that significantly increased satisfaction. Now, she’s focused on LearnDash, creating synergy between customer feedback and product development.

Jamie Wilson

Director of Account Services

Jamie, previously an Account Services Specialist at LearnDash, now leads the StellarWP Account Services team. She emphasizes customer compassion, empathy, and swift resolutions, ensuring a positive experience for all our customers.

Expanding the LearnDash Galaxy

With new leadership teams in orbit, each StellarWP brand has restructured to enhance CX and product quality. By focusing on individual brands, our teams can concentrate on their specific products. For LearnDash, this meant immediately expanding our crew.

When LearnDash first burst onto the WordPress scene, it quickly rose to prominence as a leading LMS solution, powered by just two founders. Today, our team has grown to 40 members spread across nearly every time zone, with many new stars joining our galaxy. This count reflects only those below the director level, so the guiding lights above continue to illuminate our path.

The LearnDash team has grown immensely since it's inception.

Step 1

Recruiting at Light Speed

To expand our support constellation, we teamed up with LevelUp to recruit top talent globally. Every new support technician, account specialist, and customer success specialist, whether hired through LevelUp or Liquid Web, embarks on an onboarding journey to master our product. We treat these new crew members with the same care and respect as our full-time hires. With many new stars joining our team, we’re continually improving our ability to assist customers.

Step 2

Strengthening New Technical Support Leads

As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, our seasoned Technical Support supervisors, Michelle Spray and Dan DaugDaug, continue to play pivotal roles for customer support. Michelle, a LearnDash veteran, ensures our Level 1 Support Specialists are well-trained and ready to assist, while Dan leads our Level 2 support and the MemberDash team, tackling complex issues with unwavering dedication. Their leadership is key to maintaining the high standards of support our customers rely on.

Step 3

Implementing Customer Success

New to the Stellarverse, our Customer Success team ensures potential LearnDash customers have all the information they need before making a purchase. Leading the charge for LearnDash alongside Amanda is our heroic Customer Success Manager, Chandni Ssirohi. We have exciting plans to expand this team in the future.

Step 4

Strengthening Account Services

Our Account Services team has evolved into a dedicated solar system, expanding from just Jamie five years ago to include stars like Christina Harrell and Mea Nenn, who’ve streamlined our account systems for a smoother experience. We’ve also added Mariah Orton as our Failed Payment Recovery Specialist, ensuring any payment hiccups are quickly resolved. Our goal is to keep your journey through the LearnDash galaxy smooth and stress-free.

Step 5

Launching New Processes

Our entire CX team has introduced new processes, but the biggest changes have come from our Technical Support Team. They’ve raised service standards, welcomed new talent, and adjusted roles to better serve you. We’ve also extended support hours, improved documentation, and introduced a new docsbot for enhanced self-help. With 24/7 emergency support now available every day of the year for LearnDash Cloud customers, our team is more robust and active than ever.

In collaboration with the Customer Success and Account Services Teams, our Technical Support and Product teams have created efficient feedback loops, which are already improving customer experience. And this is just the beginning.

Say Hello to the Product Team!

Despite the many shifts in LearnDash, our leadership ensured that no gaps were left in our galaxy. Thanks to their careful guidance, there’s no black hole after Jack’s move up. Instead, the new Product Team at LearnDash has formed its own constellation, working closely with Customer Experience to chart a roadmap that truly aligns with your needs.

Product Strategy and Design

Taylor Waldon

Joined the LearnDash constellation as a Product Owner in May. Starting at GiveWP in 2018, she rose to StellarWP Product Marketing Director and discovered a passion for product management along the way. Now, Taylor ensures LearnDash’s roadmap aligns with user expectations.

Nikolay Strikhar

Our Engineering Manager, is committed to keeping LearnDash code top-notch. His passion for WordPress and quality coding is reflected in the dedicated work of his team. Quality Assurance

In the broader Stellarverse, our QA solar system is guided by Joel Liriano, StellarWP’s Director of Quality Assurance. Joel ensures streamlined, automated and manual testing processes, and oversees the quality strategy. He collaborates with Marho Atumu, LearnDash’s first dedicated QA Analyst, and Rebecca Diamond, who recently joined the QA team from the support team. Together, this small but mighty team keeps our product releases shining brightly.

The Future of LearnDash is Bright

With our team now in place, we’re set to explore new frontiers. We launched a new roadmap in July that will continue to evolve with customer feedback.

Thanks to Cami’s stellar work, we’re enhancing your admin experiences with many design improvements. Including more modern front-end pages for your students, like the recently released registration page.

That’s just the first of many refreshed front-end changes we’re making. While we enhance the student experience, we’re upgrading the admin experience with new and updated UIs as well. We’re also focused on including bug fixes and small enhancements in as many releases as possible.

Balancing all the feedback we receive from customers will take time to roll out with our small team, but it’s going to be an amazing journey every step of the way.

Coming Soon: The LearnDash Developer’s Club

Our developer community has been one of the guiding stars for us through all the changes we’ve made and continue to roll out. To honor our commitment, we’re excited to launch the LearnDash Developer’s Club, where our LearnDash Product Owners, Taylor and Jarret, are dedicated to building and nurturing strong relationships with those who have supported us over the years.

This new initiative aims to provide enhanced support through exclusive programs, refreshed initiatives, and deeper insights into our product team’s work.
