At LearnDash, we’re always striving to enhance your experience and deliver tools that make managing your online courses smoother and more insightful. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce some significant updates to our reporting features—both in LearnDash LMS and in ProPanel, our advanced reporting add-on.

New: LearnDash Reports – Get Deep Insights

First up, we’ve integrated powerful new reporting features right into LearnDash. For those of you who have been using LearnDash for a while, you’ll notice that it now includes reporting capabilities. This means you get a comprehensive view of your learners’ progress, course completion rates, dashboard widgets, and more—all directly within LearnDash.

These additions simplify your workflow by offering essential reporting tools in one place, so you can make decisions based on your data. You can now access key performance metrics and course analytics with just a few clicks. It’s all about making your life easier and ensuring you have the insights you need at your fingertips.

Here’s what you can expect from the new reporting features:

  • WP Admin Widgets: Quickly view key metrics and performance indicators right from your WordPress dashboard or the new LearnDash Reports page found at WP Admin > LearnDash > Reports.
  • Front-Facing Blocks: Embed report blocks on your site’s front end, allowing for easy access to data for non-admin users. 
  • Full Page Front-End Report URL: Generate detailed, full-page reports accessible via a dedicated URL for easy sharing and review.
  • Shortcode Display Options: Use shortcodes to display specific report data on any page or post.

These new features will enable you to track course progress, completion metrics, and student activity more efficiently. Whether you want to review data for an individual course, user, or group, the enhanced reporting capabilities in LearnDash LMS will make it easier to get the insights you need.

LearnDash report filters allow you to filter your reporting data by group, course, user, enrollment status, and time restrictions.

While the LearnDash reporting updates are game changing, the real star of the show is ProPanel 3.0. This overhaul to the popular add-on takes reporting to new depths, offering a range of new and enhanced features designed to give you deeper insights and more control over your LearnDash Reports.

What ProPanel 3.0 Can do for You: 

  1. Advanced Analytics: Dive deeper into learner behavior with advanced analytics that go beyond basic metrics. ProPanel 3.0 provides detailed insights into engagement patterns, time spent, detailed quiz reports, and other learner-specific trends, to help you make data-driven decisions to improve your courses.
  2. Customizable Reports: Tailor your reports to fit your specific needs. With ProPanel 3.0, you can customize your dashboards and reports to highlight the data that matters most to you. Whether you need to track student progress across multiple courses or monitor specific learning outcomes, ProPanel 3.0 lets you design reports that give you the exact information you need.

If you use the LearnDash plugin, install ProPanel through the Plugins menu from the WordPress dashboard. Simply activate, and you’re ready. If you’re a LearnDash Cloud user, ProPanel comes installed as part of your subscription.

No. ProPanel is an add-on to the core LearnDash plugin.

Yes! If you use the Group feature in LearnDash, you can grant ProPanel access to your Group Leaders. They will only have access to the data associated with the groups they manage.

We’ve now merged LearnDash Reporting with our advanced reporting add-on: ProPanel. With this update, you have access to even more impactful features, all designed to help you track, analyze, and optimize learner progress. LearnDash now includes robust reporting features like dashboard widgets and front-facing report blocks, ProPanel 3.0 extends beyond this with advanced analytics, and the ability to create multiple reporting dashboards, including course-specific course reports, learner-specific course reports, and quiz reports, among others.

The updated ProPanel offers a streamlined and user-friendly interface, making it easier to navigate reports and dashboards. These many new reporting and data additions enhance the overall experience by simplifying data analysis and report generation. Some of the new improvements include total revenue earned, total courses, total learners, revenue from courses, daily enrollment, course-specific course reports, learner-specific course reports, and quiz reports.

  • Existing Customers of ProPanel: Customers who currently subscribe to the ProPanel add-on will automatically receive the new version with the update. 
  • Existing Customers with Legacy ProPanel: Customers with legacy ProPanel licenses have access to the Core Reports functionality (formerly ProPanel). The new ProPanel 3.0 will need to be purchased to access the updated features.
  • Existing Reports for LearnDash LMS Pro Customers: Existing Reports Pro customers will get ProPanel 3.0 automatically and their price will change to the new pricing for ProPanel, which starts at $99 for a single site license.
  • LearnDash Cloud Customers: LearnDash Cloud customers get ProPanel 3.0 included in their plan, with no change to prices or licensing.

Legacy Plus and Legacy Pro customers will no longer need a ProPanel license key to update the ProPanel add-on, now known as ‘Core Reports.’

Customers who do not have ProPanel and would like to add it, can purchase it directly on the top of this page.

Existing ProPanel users will see their next subscription renewal at the current price. Starting from the following renewal date, their subscription will be adjusted to the new pricing structure for ProPanel 3.0. This change is a result of the substantial enhanced functionality and features being added to ProPanel 3.0. For these customers, their next subscription renewal will be at the old price ($49, $99, $199) on the original renewal date. The following year (2025-2026), their renewal rate will increase to the new pricing structure for ProPanel 3.0+ ($99, $199, $399).

LearnDash Cloud customers will receive ProPanel 3.0 included in their plan without any changes to their prices or licensing.

Customers with translations will need to manually update their translations to reflect the changes in ProPanel 3.0. The update will be communicated through email and in-plugin notices.
