We’re excited to introduce the brand-new Order Management feature in LearnDash! If you’re managing an online course business, you know how important it is to stay organized and keep track of all your orders and enrollments. With this update, we’re giving site admins like you a fresh, more efficient way to manage your LearnDash orders.

This update brings a complete redesign of the Orders page (formerly known as the Transactions section), with a focus on improving your experience. The goal? To make managing your orders smoother, faster, and less stressful. Let’s take a look at what you can expect from the new Order Management system.

An intuitive page to simplify transactions

This order management update plays a crucial role in ensuring that your transactions are tracked accurately. With the new updates, you’ll have more control and greater visibility into your orders. Here’s how these changes benefit you as a site admin:

  1. Streamlined Workflow: Finding and managing orders has never been easier. We’ve simplified the navigation, reorganized the layout, and optimized the page so you can get to the information you need with fewer clicks. Less time spent searching for data means more time for you to focus on creating great content and interacting with your students.
  2. Better Data Organization: We know how important it is to quickly find the key details about an order. This new page highlights the most relevant information, such as Order ID, Price, Customer name, and Payment Gateway, making it easier for you to sort and filter your orders.
  3. Reduced Complexity: We’ve decluttered the page by removing unnecessary fields, making it simpler for you to focus on the essentials. No more confusing options or hidden information- everything you need is now clearly presented.
The order feature organizes and shows all of the order details so that you can search, and see everything in one spot.

Spend less time on orders, and more time growing your business

One of the biggest benefits of the new Order Management feature is that it frees up your time. By streamlining the process of managing orders and reducing the time spent on transactions, you can shift your focus to other critical aspects of your business, like course creation, marketing, and student engagement.

With a more efficient order management system in place, you’ll also have more time to focus on marketing your courses. This means you can invest your energy into growing your audience, creating compelling sales pages, launching targeted campaigns, and building relationships with potential customers. Marketing is a key driver for increasing course sales, and by freeing up time on administrative tasks, you’ll be better positioned to attract more students and boost your revenue.

The details of order management

So, what exactly does the Order Management page do? Here are some of the key improvements and additions:

  • Easier Navigation: We’ve moved orders to a dedicated section in the main navigation menu, making them easier to locate. No more hunting through submenus- everything is right where you need it.
  • Improved Order List: The list of orders has been reorganized for easier viewing. You’ll be able to quickly see important data like the Order ID, Price, and Customer Details right at the top. You can also sort orders more efficiently and search by Order ID, Item, Customer Email, Customer Name, and even Payment Gateway.
  • Simplified Information: To make it easier to focus on what matters most, we’ve removed unnecessary fields like order publish status, membership access, and page attributes. You’ll now see more relevant data, such as Payment Gateway Transaction IDs, coupon usage, and Achievements points used in the order.
  • Resend Invoices and Customer Links: Need to resend an invoice? Now you can do so quickly via email directly from the order management page. Plus, you can easily click over to the customer’s profile, courses, and group information from the order page, saving you time.
  • Quick Access to Transaction IDs and Customer IDs: We’ve made it easier for you to copy important information, such as Payment Gateway Transaction IDs and Customer IDs, with just a click. This makes it simpler to manage transactions and communicate with customers if needed.
  • Simply Delete Orders: Delete orders with one click from the new order management page.
The order management section allows you to view each individual order to see more details about the customer and payment.

A more organized admin experience

The new Order Management feature is just the beginning! We’re not stopping here – in fact, we’re already hard at work on the next big update: a revamped Student Management UI. This upcoming enhancement will bring the same focus on usability, organization, and efficiency to managing your students as we’ve delivered for your orders.

But that’s not all. Once both the Order Management and Student Management systems are live, we’ll continue iterating on each to make them even more powerful – both as standalone tools and as a unified system. Our goal is to provide you with a seamless, intuitive experience across all aspects of managing your online course business.

Looking further ahead, you can expect continued improvements to course commerce and student management features in LearnDash. Whether it’s refining workflows, adding new capabilities, or deepening integrations, we’re committed to helping you manage every aspect of your online learning platform with ease.
