Angie Is Here—And LearnDash AI Support Is Right Behind It
Elementor just launched Angie, their powerful new AI assistant for WordPress—and we’re thrilled to announce that LearnDash support is on the way.
With the upcoming launch of LearnDash 5.0 and Model Context Protocol (MCP) support, LearnDash will connect seamlessly with Angie and other AI tools to supercharge course creation, grading, and learner management.
Whether you’re already exploring Angie or just starting to think about AI in your LMS, here’s why this matters—and what’s coming next.
What’s an MCP Server—And Why Should You Care?
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) server is LearnDash’s new AI bridge. It connects your LMS to AI platforms using secure, structured API access. With MCP support, AI tools can:
- Read your course structure,
- Execute setup and content changes,
- Manage users and groups.
All with just a few prompts.
That means less time clicking through admin screens—and more time focused on creating learning experiences that drive real results.
Angie: Built by Elementor, Powered by Partnership
We worked closely with Elementor’s Angie team to ensure smooth integration with LearnDash from day one. While LearnDash support in Angie is dependent on our upcoming MCP release, our collaboration ensured:
- Full alignment between Angie and LearnDash’s APIs
- Seamless, structured workflows for course creators
- An extensible foundation for future innovation.
Angie is ready today and LearnDash support is coming soon. When LearnDash MCP support launches, Angie’s intelligent capabilities will pair with LearnDash’s robust instructional tools automatically. So, you can do things like create a full course with a few prompts.
Not Just Angie: AI, Your Way
Our MCP support isn’t limited to one tool. Once live, you can connect LearnDash to any AI platform that supports the protocol, including:
- Cursor
- Claude and other advanced LLMs
- Self-hosted private models—perfect for privacy-sensitive use cases
While each of these AI tools is built for developers, we’ll provide you with the documentation and guides to use it without touching the terminal. You can prompt and copy/paste your way through it all.
No matter your AI setup, LearnDash gives you choice and control.
No AI? No Problem.
We get it. Not every site wants AI. That’s why the MCP update will not impact any users unless they want to use it. If you don’t connect an AI tool, nothing changes. No added weight. No unused features. Just a more solid LearnDash foundation.
But if you do want to use AI—your LMS is ready for it.
As for LearnDash 5.0, we’re overhauling our v2 REST API and officially taking the beta label off. It’s ready for prime time, which is great news for developers everywhere. Get your integrations and customizations ready for testing! We’ll let you know when an alpha version is available through the DevClub newsletter.
