2018 E-Learning & Training Conferences

Get out your calendars because it is time to start saving some dates!

Every year there are a number of really great e-learning and training conferences taking place across the United States. If you haven’t been to one then make it a resolution to attend an event that matches your interests. Not only will you learn something but you will come away from the event with a stronger network and renewed enthusiasm for your craft!

Some of these events do come with a pricier admission fee. If you work for a company then you may want to request their sponsorship of your ticket as soon as possible. Many companies will foot the bill for these kind of events because you will be representing them, and what you learn can ultimately help the company.

For those of you who may be on a budget then there are a few conferences listed that are virtual (online), so you don’t have to worry about any travel. 🙂

If you are aware of any other conferences in the United States that are not included in the list below then please do leave the details as a comment to this article.

  1. The SLATE Conference is a great eLearning conference too. For more information about SLATE, please go to http://www.slategroup.org.

    16th Annual SLATE Conference
    October 3 – 5, 2018

Being held at the NIU campus/conference center in Naperville, IL, the SLATE Conference is one of the premier academic technology conferences in the Midwest, known for offering a wide variety of topics ranging from best practices and pedagogy to innovative teaching resources and cutting-edge technologies. So come join friends and colleagues along with – faculty, system administrators, user support staff, technology coordinators, librarians, CIO’s, web administrators, and decision-makers from all levels of educational institutions at this year’s event.

  2. Elliot Masie’s Learning Conference is always my favorite! It hits on all types of learning, brings people from so many different fields together, and has a ton of great “intensive” projects for attendees to join and really build something fun! The past two years I ran a Learning Escape Room Lab! There’s also a Gamification Lab and over 190 sessions! And it’s at wonderful Walt Disney World!
