Maximize your course revenue by using ThriveCart’s powerful marketing tools!

Today we’re excited to announce the release of our newest add-on, ThriveCart, giving you the ability to use this popular e-commerce shopping cart to sell your LearnDash courses.

What is ThriveCart?

ThriveCart is an online shopping cart solution that has a variety of features, including:

  • Order bumps and up-sells support
  • A/B testing
  • Discounts and coupons
  • Automatic retries for failed payments
  • And much more!

For the full feature list check out their website

What does the ThriveCart integration do?

Our ThriveCart add-on connects your ThriveCart account with your LearnDash installation to allow you to sell courses via ThriveCart rather than the built-in LearnDash payment methods.

It is a simple two-step process:

  1. Create a product in ThriveCart

2 Create a product in WordPress and link your ThriveCart product

Why you should be excited about using ThriveCart.

Honestly? My favorite feature of ThriveCart has to be order bumps for the simple fact that it’s a great way to increase revenue!

It works at checkout where your customer sees a box with a one-click upgrade to their order such as offering a more expensive course or even a second course.

Perfect for platforms that offer multiple levels of courses!

Ready to get started with the ThriveCart integration?

Want to start selling courses using ThriveCart?

First you need to have a ThriveCart account.

Next, you just need to install & activate the integration located under LEARNDASH LMS > ADD-ONS (if you don’t see it, click the “Check Updates” button at the top-right of the Add-ons page). Then head on over to our documentation and ThriveCart’s documentation to learn how to get everything configured.

You will be pleased to know that our integration supports the full range of ThriveCart functionality, including:

  • Order Bumps
  • Upsells
  • Discount coupons
  • A/B testing

This makes ThriveCart a flexible alternative to WooCommerce for powering your online course sales.

There is no better time than now to create your online courses and memberships! By joining LearnDash you not only receive best-in-class online course software (with an entire free website template to get started), but you also become a member of our vibrant, supportive community!

Great stuff Justin! I’ve used this and it works perfectly!

Hello, does ThriveCart offer video streaming similar to SendOwl? I do not want my video courses downloaded but viewed similar to Netflix videos. I plan to utilize LearnDash LMS plugin to expand my courses to schools and other organizations however I am hesitating because I do not want to lose the video streaming feature SendOwl offers.

I’m not sure Linda, I don’t think so but perhaps the TC team can provide more info on this!

Can you tell me what the difference is with Cartflows? Thank you

Avatar Anne

Cartflows is awesome (and free)! It’s like ThriveCart but built on WordPress leveraging WooCommerce. Highly recommended!

Whats a great news, Justin! One question: is It works for one payment or also for recurring payments? What about if a student don’t pay the next payments? TC unrolls student?

And again congratulations for all new improvements with LearnDash and even with the new site design!

Thanks Angel!

Yes, it works for recurring payments – and yes, the student is removed from the course if they fail to make payment or are refunded.

Could you please extend this to support groups?

Avatar LaTesha B

We’ll look into that!

Hi Justin,

I just tested the LearnDash ThriveCart plugin and it seems to work flawlessly to onboard a test user subscribing via ThriveCart to a LearnDash Group.

Because the Group has several courses attached to it, the test user was automatically added to those courses.

When I set up the ThriveCart product in LearnDash I had all the courses deselected and only the Group selected.

Therefore, it seems that the LearnDash ThriveCart integration IS working with LearnDash Groups. Or did I misunderstand something?

An additional question: good to see that a user is removed if they stop recurring payments. Do ThriveCart funnels therefore also work with LearnDash – meaning that I could create tiers of membership with LD Groups, and if someone buys an upsell in a ThriveCart funnel they would be automatically removed from the lower tier and added to the higher tier?

On their website it says “ THE WORLD’S EASIEST AND
Is it because I’m in Canada?

It’s part of their marketing I think. ThriveCart is available for purchase (and has been for many years) – search for their FB group or send them an email from their support site.

I have been having issues trying to look into this? Is this the case? It appears that we would need to buy thrive cart, then create a product there, and then connect via the integration? If that’s the case, the part about the new cart is coming was confusing. Also, not stating that it needed to be purchased, to use it, as an embedded cart, typically has a monthly option, was a bit confusing? I say that because I am accustomed to woo, and then paying for options I need. Am I missing anything here?

I love Thrivecart and I am a new LearnDash customer so this is the best news ever. Thank you!!!!

Virtual hugs ?

Does it work with TC test mode ?
I just tried but the user is not created.

Avatar Quentin

Yes. Give it a try in live mode to see if there is any difference. Our support can assist as well.

Sounds great
Is it a free add on?
I cant see pricing anywhere on their site – which just days coming soon?!

Hello Justin,
You say you love bumps with ThriveCart! So do I 😉

But, how can we link those (or upsells) to courses in LearnDash? (I believe only simple transaction work for now)

Thank you for your help!

Avatar Maxence Walbrou

I’m interested to use ThriveCart. However, I am having issue with their parent. It seems the only option for me is PayPal since I live in Thailand.

Do you have any suggestions for a payment processor if I use ThriveCart?

I think you will be best served by reaching out to their team to ask about the supported payment gateways.
