The Perfect Time to Cross-Promote Your Courses

Whether you are selling your courses or not it is important to let your learners know about your other offerings.

One of the best times to up-sell or cross-promote your courses is right after someone completes a course, yet surprisingly so many people are not capitalizing on this timing.

Instead, they let their learners complete the course and then figure out what to do next on their own.

If you are selling courses then you are missing out on a huge opportunity! When your learners complete a course they have a sense of accomplishment. They feel good about what they have done. A learner who is happy is going to be a lot more receptive to your other offerings than one that is not.

Luckily there is an easy solution for this, and that is to present a special message to your learners immediately after a course is complete. In LearnDash this is very easy to do by leveraging the “Course Complete”. You can see this in action in the video at the top of the page.

Here’s a Tip to Increase Your Revenue

Sure, displaying your other courses will help to build awareness and increase revenue – but there is another method you may consider. At the conclusion of the course, offer your learners a discount code on one of your other courses.

People love surprises, and they also love to get exclusive deals. This method rewards those who clearly invested into your content already. And you know what they say: it’s easier to sell to current customers than to get new ones!

The discount code doesn’t have to be massive, just enough to be enticing and to seem valuable.

If you are currently selling courses then check to see what it is your learners see immediately after they finish. Chances are you present them with a certificate, but if that is all you’re doing then you are missing out on a huge opportunity!
