Share Your Knowledge in 2016
It’s that time of the year again.
That time when we all reflect on the year that has gone by and commit to changes in the upcoming year.
It seems part of our DNA to continually seek out ways to t to do things differently; to constantly improve.
Sometimes these resolutions take the form of eliminating a bad habit (such as smoking), and other times it may involve committing to a new behavior or project.
Today I want to make a suggestion for the latter.
Everyone Knows Something
Whether you know it or not, we all have the ability to teach something to someone else.
It’s easy to overlook this fact.
Truth is there are many people out there who want to know something that you know. Heck, they would probably even pay you to share your knowledge.
And why wouldn’t they?
If you know something that could benefit them and save them the time of learning it on their own then it’s well worth the investment.
For example, let’s say you are a tutor and have been tutoring grade school children for years.
Over this time you have accumulated a wealth of knowledge just by doing what you love.
You know what works.
You know what doesn’t.
You know how to find students.
There are thousands of people who would love to get into tutoring as a way to earn some extra income, or even for a full-time profession.
You could create a course on starting a tutoring business and covering things like how to find students, dealing with difficult parents, collecting payment, structuring your lessons, and so on.
What is it that you are passionate about? What could you teach someone?
It has never been easier to create a course and share your knowledge with the world. People do it every day – some of which are earning a healthy income from doing so.
So for 2016 why not make a commitment to share what you know. Creating a course is not only beneficial for others but is also an investment in yourself. You create an asset that can’t be taken away.
