LearnDash Updates latestOne important feature of LearnDash is that it is easy to start selling courses. All you need to do is add your PayPal email address, a price, and click “publish” to start selling.

As easy as this process makes it for you to start selling courses quickly, we also know that there can be benefits to using a feature-packed shopping cart for selling courses on your WordPress site.

Rather than re-invent the wheel, we have made it a priority to integrate with these great solutions.

Today we are excited to announce a new integration with one of the most popular solutions on the market…

Sell Courses With EDD

What is Easy Digital Downloads?

Easy Digital Downloads (EDD) was created by Pippin Williamson, a developer known for creating high-quality and well supported products. With over 400,000 downloads, EDD is one of the most popular shopping carts for WordPress.

In addition to being a powerful solution, EDD comes with a large number of add-ons (both free and paid) so that you can really customize the shopping experience for your unique needs.

Key Features of the Integration

Easy course mapping: When you create a product in Easy Digital Downloads, you can quickly map a course to the product from the LearnDash course selection box.

Associate one, or multiple courses: Decide if you want to associate one course, or multiple courses, to your Easy Digital Downloads product. Perfect for creating course bundles.

Auto-User Enrollment: After successful purchase, the integration will auto-enroll the customer into the course so that they can begin taking the content.

Works with any payment gateway: Choose any payment gateway offered by Easy Digital Downloads and use it to accept payment for your courses.

How To Use EDD with LearnDash

To get started with the integration, all you need to do is install and activate:

  1. LearnDash
  2. Easy Digital Downloads
  3. LearnDash-Easy Digital Downloads integration (no settings necessary)

Yes, it’s that simple! You can now start selling courses with EDD. Of course, you can customize the selling process even further by leveraging one of their popular add-ons.

The integration is available for download on the support site.

What’s Next?

Our current developments are on a few different fronts. First, you can expect additional integrations so that you can leverage other popular applications in conjunction with LearnDash.

In addition to those, we are nearly complete with an update to ProPanel. The original release of this enhancement was delayed slightly because we wanted to extend ProPanel capabilities to Group Leaders, which required some additional development and testing. Oh, and Group Leader capabilities are getting a face-lift as well 😉

Until next time!
