elearning-courses-for-saleMany instructional designers get immense satisfaction when they finish an elearning course. After countless hours of storyboarding, graphic design, configuring the various interactions, testing, and so forth – there really is nothing like seeing the final product…

Other than perhaps selling the course!

There’s a good chance that you know something valuable based on your experiences. It could be hobby related or based on your profession, and there is a strong possibility that what you know would be valuable to someone else. People often make the mistake of thinking that they don’t know enough, or that nobody would care what they have to say – but they are selling themselves short! Listen, you don’t need to be famous for people to be interested in you or what you know, you just have to help fill a need.

There are a variety of ways to share knowledge, but it’s important to keep in mind that people want solutions and systems. Sure, you could start a blog and teach your readers something, but this still lacks the structured solution approach. That’s why creating a formal way to delivery your topic is ideal. For starters, it will force you to organize your thoughts and to refine your theories. As you create a structure for your online course, you will begin to discover new topics and other ways to branch out – heck, it may even result in another elearning course.

Once your course is put together, all you need to do is set-up your website and begin to network in the communities that would find your course useful. Here is a hint, give away a few for free to get some candid feedback and improve upon your course so that it is more relevant.

This entire process can seem intimidating, but there are a lot of solutions available to you. For instance, with LearnDash, you can easily create courses, lessons, knowledge checks, and even issue certificates all from one place. When you’re ready to sell the course, simply add a price and LearnDash takes care of the rest – it makes the entire process quite enjoyable and easy.

If this sounds interesting to you, contact us with any questions. We have deep experience in the learning industry and would be happy to provide you guidance. We love to brainstorm, and who knows, maybe our conversation will help refine your idea so that it can become a reality.
