As the training industry rapidly expands in terms of technical tools and offerings, the number of professionals identifying themselves with this field is also growing by leaps and bounds.  A very diverse field, individuals engaged in training and learning take on many labels, including but not limited to instructional designers, trainers, technical trainers, teachers, elearning consultants, LMS administrators, and so on.

The eLearning field in particular has really boomed in the past five to 10 years.  It seems like every day there is a new product in this space, which is a good thing really as it proves the concept.  In fact, not only has there been an influx of new technology, but also in the strategies, tips, tricks, and theory.

Born from the largest eLearning group on LinkedIn, eLearning Industry is an ideal place to keep up to speed on with our field, network, and find jobs in our field.  From a personal standpoint, I will be contributing to their blog a couple of times a month – I find it a great way to give back.
