December is often synonomous with gift giving and spending time with friends & family. Many of us take some time off of work to recharge before venturing into another eventful year.
Another common theme in December is trying to find gifts for the people we care about. This process usually involves spending hours researching gift ideas online, only to end up giving the same (or similar) gifts that we always do.
This year, instead of getting someone a boring gift card to Amazon, why not give the gift of elearning?
Today there are a large variety of online courses available for purchase. If you know the person well, buy them access to a course that they would find of interest. For example, if you’re father is into carpentry, then an online course about the latest techniques would be a great place to start!
If you aren’t quite sure the exact course to get, many of the sites that sell elearning allow you to purchase credits (or even gift cards) so that they can select the course for themselves.
Maybe the person isn’t into taking a course, but would rather like to create one (i.e. teachers)? If this is the case, getting them their own license of LearnDash will give them the tools they need to make it all happen!
What better way to start off 2015 than with the launch of an elearning course? 🙂
Perhaps someone you know is already involved in the industry. If so, your gift could be a year-long membership to one of the popular elearning organizations where they can further network and build their skills in an area that they enjoy.
These are just a couple of examples of course. ELearning is actually a pretty large industry so you can probably come up with others quite easily – and it sure beats the same old tired gifts people are used to getting this time of year!
