LearnDash and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

User privacy is critically important to us at LearnDash. Our privacy principles align with many of the GDPR principles, and we built our products with those principles in mind.

For example:

  • Data Minimalism. When you make a purchase on our site, we only require your name, an email address, and billing address to process your payment. No other information is required to obtain a license. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
  • Your Security is Our Priority. We use a third-party, GDPR compliant shopping cart (Zoho Subscriptions) for processing payments made to our company. Your customer records can be completely erased in this system by simply sending a request to contact@learndash.com. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
  • Control of Your Content. You own all content that you produce on your WordPress website, including content created with the LearnDash plugin. LearnDash the company does not have any access or control over this content whatsoever. You have complete ownership and control over content visibility and location. LearnDash the software makes it easy for you to permanently delete all learner recorded course data via the user’s profile. See this article for information on GDPR related features in our software.
  • Data Integrity. We do not sell or give away your personal information, such as your email address to any third-party. As our customer your email address will only be used to contact you about LearnDash product updates and promotions. You can freely remove yourself from these notifications at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in the email body. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
