tincancalamityresolvedIt is officially the first day of the new year, and millions of people all over the world are making resolutions for 2014. As you start o make your resolutions (assuming you are one to do so), I would encourage you to create one that is related to elearning.

But what does that even mean?

Well, it largely depends on your background and involvement in the elearning industry. If your profession is something else, then perhaps your resolution could be to take at least one elearning course from a popular MOOC platform that is related to your career.

At the very least, you can add your newly learned skills to your resume.

Or, perhaps you are actively involved in the elearning industry as an instructional designer. If so, there are a variety of resolutions you could make related to your craft.

For instance, perhaps you could commit to learning a new rapid elearning development tool. There are many out there besides just Articulate and Captivate.

Maybe you want something more tangible for your resolution. If so, it might make sense to dedicate 2014 to obtaining an elearning certification – a great way to establish yourself as an expert and to set yourself apart from your peers.

Speaking of being an expert. Perhaps this is the year that you begin to monetize your knowledge! Creating (and selling) elearning courses has never been easier, and we happen to have a free course to introduce you to the entire concept!

Whether it is learning a new skill or starting a business venture, adding an elearning resolution can certainly benefit you both personally and professionally in 2014.
