Custom LMS Sign-Up Forms are a Must

formsMost learning management system providers today boast a barrage of features designed to help you create a really impact the learning experience when someone takes your courses.

Everything from gamification elements, dynamic quizzing, mobile functionality, and so much more.

I could write a 2000 words on the amount of features out there.

But there is one feature that not every LMS out there has but really should: custom user registration forms.

Every Organization Has Different Needs

Sign-up forms can be as simple as first name and last name, but what about professional organizations that need extra information?

Surprisingly, many learning management programs cannot accommodate it.

Or even worse: adding extra fields to the registration form costs an arm-and-a-leg.

When I did an informal search across the industry I looked specifically for this component but couldn’t find much (if anything) on any of the pre-sales information.

I suppose this doesn’t mean that it isn’t possible. Maybe this functionality isn’t what these companies feel “sells” people on their product.

But it doesn’t make it any less important.

This is one reason why we made sure that anyone using LearnDash always has the the opportunity to create 100% unique registration forms for anyone taking their course.

Sometimes you need to capture more information that wouldn’t necessarily be standard on most LMS user profiles.

Or perhaps you want to ask questions at the time of registration, sort of like a mini-survey or quiz.

This is a great way to gain further insights into the people who are taking your courses.

If unique user data is important to you and your business, then choose an LMS solution that allows you to capture it!
