2 WooCommerce Tips for Selling Courses

Using LearnDash to create and sell courses means you have a lot of possible options available to you.

Some people love this because they aren’t confined to just a couple methods, while others may become confused as to where to begin.

One of the most flexible ways to sell LearnDash courses is using the ultra-popular WooCommerce plugin. You can achieve some pretty unique (and powerful) configurations by just using LearnDash with WooCommerce.

People will often ask us, “What’s the best way to set everything up with WooCommerce?”

And as much as we would love to have a definitive answer, the reality is it depends. Each site has its own unique needs and purchase process-flows to consider.

That said, below are three tips that would apply to any site that is selling LearnDash courses using WooCommerce.

Tip #1: After Purchase Redirect

This is probably my favorite recommendation because it has such an impact on how your customers will experience their course purchase.

While it’s not a built-in setting for WooCommerce, you can configure your shopping cart so that depending on the product a person purchases, they are taken to a specific page. For example, if someone purchased a course then maybe you take them directly to Lesson 1 where you have an introduction to the content.

The following video walks through how to set this up:

Tip #2: SEO for Your Products

Earlier this year Rebecca Gill joined us on a webinar where she walked through the importance of SEO for selling online courses and how you can make some simple modifications for big results.

If you didn’t attend the webinar then don’t worry because you can watch the replay below:
